Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 8, 2026

Lift Diary (“we”, “us”) operates the Lift Diary website and mobile app, a workout and fitness tracking application. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your email address, used to create your account, sign in, recover your password, and send optional email notifications.
  • Workout data: the exercises, sets, reps, weight, routines, and workout history you enter. This data is tied to your account and visible only to you.
  • Subscription and billing: your subscription status and plan (Free or Pro) managed through Stripe. We do not store full card numbers — payment details are handled by Stripe.
  • Email notification data: if you opt in to email notifications, we record delivery status to ensure reliable sending. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click.
  • Usage data: basic, anonymous analytics about how the app is used, to improve features and fix issues.

How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To store and display your workout data and progress.
  • To process subscription payments through Stripe.
  • To send optional email notifications you request.
  • To improve, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

How we protect your data

Your workout data is protected with Row-Level Security, which means only your account can read or modify your own data. All data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Access to the backend is strictly controlled and limited to what the application needs to function.

Third parties we rely on

  • Lovable Cloud (Supabase): hosting, authentication, and database storage.
  • Stripe: subscription payment processing.
  • Google: optional Google sign-in.

These providers process your data under their own privacy policies and only as needed to deliver the service. We do not sell your data.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can export your workout history as a CSV file at any time from Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes all of your data, including workout entries, routines, and profile information.

Your rights

  • Access & export: view and download your data as CSV.
  • Correction: edit your workout entries and profile at any time.
  • Deletion: delete your account and all associated data from Settings.
  • Withdraw consent: unsubscribe from emails or cancel your subscription at any time.

About the Android app

The Lift Diary app on Google Play is a Trusted Web Activity (TWA) that opens the same website inside a full-screen app container. It does not access your device’s contacts, photos, location, camera, microphone, or health/fitness sensor data. The app collects only the data described in this policy through the website it loads.

Children’s privacy

Lift Diary is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “last updated” date.
